If your aim is to save money then think about what you’re going to do differently in the short and long term. Are you doing this for you or because you think other people want you to and why does that mater?
The problem with setting goals though is that you are always seeking ‘more’. More than you have. More than who you are. Achieving them won’t suddenly bring your happiness but maybe they’ll push you a little closer.
The most important thing I have to say is to make sure you spend time living. Live isn’t all about the far off future, it’s also about where you are right now. If you spend it setting goals then when do you actually get to enjoy yourself?
This year I’m not making resolutions. I’m setting a goal and one goal only. I want to become happier and more accepting of who I am.
